About the Webinar

Transportation emissions are a primary contributor to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and are on the rise in many communities. That's why government agencies across the country are developing climate action plans to help curb this trend. Accessible and reliable data is critical in developing climate action plans to inform policy decisions, guide investments, and monitor progress toward meeting emissions reduction targets. With the right data, agencies can take action to acknowledge the impacts of GHG emissions and propose effective strategies to reduce them.

In honor of Earth Month, this webinar focused on how Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) and Rincon Consultants have taken their climate action planning process to the next level using Replica data. CMAP will discuss their recently produced greenhouse gas emissions inventory for the region’s seven counties and how they used Replica data to provide more local information than ever before. Rincon will discuss improvements to the climate action planning process made possible by Replica.
In this webinar we discussed:
  • The importance of accessible and reliable data for the development of Climate Action Plans and GHG inventories.
  • How government agencies are using data to acknowledge the impacts of GHG emissions and propose effective strategies to reduce them.
  • Real-life examples of how organizations are using Replica's granular trip data to produce GHG emissions inventories and improve their climate action planning process.
  • Strategies for measuring long-term implementation, prioritizing actions to reduce GHG emissions, and meeting emissions reduction targets.
