The Greater Nashville Regional Council (GNRC) undertook an effort to evaluate big data sources to utilize for transportation planning efforts. The outcome of their assessment was to partner with Replica and leverage Replica's data on projects across their region.
GNRC currently utilizes a wide variety of Replica data, including Origin-Destination data, AADT, speeds, and volume data to perform a range of analyses, including updating their own travel demand model, locating potential transit riders, and performing corridor studies.
By using Replica data, GNRC staff are able to understand mode-specific demand on specific network links, including bike/ped demand, which they were not able to analyze without Replica. They are also able to query demographic, mobility, and spend data all in one place.
GNRC has over 60 users that were onboarded in less than a year including internal staff, partner transit agencies, and consulting firms.
At this webinar we learned how GNRC has partnered with Replica to transform the way they use big data!
